Investors want a Chartered Financial Planner

New research from Skandia has found that investors place a higher value on Chartered status than on independence.

The research found that 86% of investors found Chartered status ‘attractive’ and 49% believe it to be ‘very attractive’, when selecting a Financial Planner.

They forecast that 78% of Financial Planners will become Chartered in the future, from the 18% that currently hold the prestigious Chartered Financial Planner status.

From 31st December, it will be very challenging for most investors to understand the difference between the different types of restricted advice.
