No regrets, confusing state pension & US Fed interest rates

As we edge ever closer to Christmas, the Informed Choice team enjoyed their Christmas lunch this week at the Richard Onslow in Cranleigh.

The office is open until 2pm next Wednesday afternoon, and then closed until Monday 4th January 2016.

This week on the Informed Choice website, we have been writing about living a life without regrets, confusion over the new flat-rate state pension, why attitudes towards retirement ages are changing, and the US Federal Reserve raising interest rates.

Martin was quoted in Financial Planner magazine in an article about the big risks from the second-hand annuity market, being introduced in April 2017.  He was also quoted in The Telegraph, in this article about UK Equity Income funds.

We published two new episodes of our popular podcast this week.

The first featured an interview with Andrew Tully from Retirement Advantage, talking about their new retirement sentiment index and certainty of income in retirement.

In episode 56 of the Informed Choice Podcast which went live this morning, Martin talks about selling your pension annuity, pretending to be rich, and some of the things that could go wrong for investment markets in 2016. There’s also a roundup of the latest personal finance and investing news.
