Informed Choice has published a new briefing note to describe the main changes to retail financial services regulation which come into force at the end of next year.

Within the eleven page briefing note we look at the background to the Retail Distribution Review, clarity of status for financial advisers, adviser remuneration and professional standards.

The Retail Distribution Review (RDR) represents an important change to the way in which all financial advisers in the UK provide services to investors.

We feel it is important that investors understand these changes now, as many advisory firms have already implemented them in full rather than wait for the Financial Services Authority (FSA) to force them to make these changes.

The new rules are beneficial for consumers, so it is important to ensure your financial adviser is positioned ready for the change.
