Week in review

Autumn has officially arrived and the Informed Choice team is busy blowing up balloons ahead of the Cranleigh Food & Music Festival this Saturday.

Our head office, Sundial House, will play host to the singer Camilla Royle at 12.30pm; do pop in and join us for some musical entertainment if you’re in the area.

The event is for a great cause, as it is raising money for the Cranleigh Arts Centre Target 25 campaign.

Target 25 aims to raise £250,000 to preserve and modernise Cranleigh Arts Centre’s historic building for the next 25 years and beyond.

This week on the Informed Choice website, the team have been writing about how the over 50s are boosting their incomes, whether we have got it all wrong about the baby boomers, why we need to reform the pension system, everything you wanted to know about auto enrolment, and a very bad quarter for global investment markets.

This week in episode 43 of the Informed Choice Podcast, Martin talks to Dr Peter Westaway, Chief Economist at Vanguard Asset Management, about the five things influencing investment market sentiment.

In the press this week, Martin commented for FE Trustnet on his favourite investment sector at the moment and Nick spoke at the Platforum Conference in London.
