Informed Choice chartered financial planner Martin Bamford was featured as the expert in the lead article on the thisismoney.co.uk website today, answering the question “How much should I save for retirement?”

In the article, Martin outlines the steps you should follow to work out what your expenditure is likely to be in retirement and how much you will need in your pension fund to achieve the required level of income.

Martin also shared a very general rule of thumb for establishing how much you should be saving for your retirement each year, based on the age at which you start saving.
