Lunchtime concerts at Cranleigh Arts

Informed Choice is pleased to sponsor the latest series of lunchtime classical concerts at Cranleigh Arts.

The concerts allow anyone to enjoy fine chamber music during daylight hours.

These performances offer a vibrant selection of performances by young international professionals in the intimate setting of our Jack Wagg auditorium.

Seating will be informal and unallocated, and performances around 40 minutes long.

Each concert is free to attend, with a retiring collection where you are invited to give generously to Cranleigh Arts, a charitable community arts venue.

The first performance, taking place in celebration of International Women’s Day, features harpist Elin Samuel.

Born in Swansea South Wales, Elin began her harp studies at the age of 10. She has since established herself as a freelance harpist in both London and South Wales.

Elin enjoys a varied freelance career having performed with the orchestra of the Ballet Rambert, the London Chamber Orchestra and the London Concert Orchestra.

You can enjoy Elin’s concert at 1pm on Tuesday 8th March 2022.

The second concert in the series features Adam Heron playing Schumann and Bach.

In addition to his engagements as a soloist, Adam is a devoted collaborative pianist, composer, and conductor.

Adam has performed as a concerto soloist with the lauded Chineke! Orchestra, and he has worked with eminent conductors such as Jonathon Heyward, David Curtis, and Pete Harrison.

In 2019, he founded his own chamber orchestra, The Boyce Camerata, which he has since co-directed with the Moroccan conductor Yassine Taoudi Benchekroun.

​Adam is a laureate of both the Stefano Marizza International Piano Competition in Italy, and of the International Piano Competition HRH Princess Lalla Meryem in Morocco, where he additionally received the Special Prize from the Embassy of France in Rabat for his interpretation of French music.
